Google analytics helps to know, how we get traffic in our website, how users interact with our sites, how visitors turns to customers on our site.

Types of traffic source 

Direct traffic: Directly enter the url of the website or bookmark some sites for future use. The traffic by these searches is Direct traffic 

 Organic visit: The number of people visited our website as a result of an internet search in search engines like Google, Bing etc. Also our goal is to increase the organic visits to a site. 

Referral visits: Visits we get through referral links from other websites 

Social media visits: Visits from social medias like facebook, twitter, etc.

Ad traffic: Visits obtained through online advertisements.

Steps to get started with google analytics

1. Enter account name and property name, set the time zone and currency according to websites location.
2. Provide business information and preferences.
3. Provide URL stream name for website and create stream.
4. Copy the global site tags and then paste it inside the website's head section in HTML file.
5. Start using Google analytics to view real time reports, measuring goals.
